LifeXplore 250 ml Apothecary Jars, part of the LifeXlore Violet Glass Collection, extend the life light-sensitive foods, oils, waters, herbs, and spices by deflecting harmful visible light.

The 250 ml LifeXplore Apothecary Jar is great for storing medicinal products, special herbs, or cosmetics like bath salts or room fragrances. Apothecary jars have been used for years by the pharmaceutical and homeopathic industry to store and preserve medicinal products, special herbs, and crude or compounded drugs. Nowadays, they are also used as decorative retro jars, perfect for storing cosmetics, bath salts, room fragrance, and more. This versatile stylish round jar has a thick base, easy-grab neck, glass top, and classic design that stands out in your home.

Our specially designed Apothecary Jars (this shape is also commonly referred to as a Pharmaceutical Jar) have a special lid that is all glass. There is no rubber gasket to clean! The lid is angled to match the jar for a tight fit. Do Not Push the Lid Down! The natural weight of the lid will seal the container air tight.

Many people use the jars as is. Add a sticker or label the jar for contents. Use a glass pencil to write on the jar. Apply glass paint (permanent!) if you want to decorate your jars. Adhorn with jewels, add glitter or other personality to the jars!

Excluding the stopper, the jar is 129.5 ±1.5 mm high, has a width at the base of 71 ±1.4 mm and weighs 345 g.

What is biophotonics?

The term biophotonics is made up of two Greek words: “bios” and “phos”. “Bios” means life and “phos” stands for light.

From Wikipedia: The term biophotonics denotes a combination of biology and photonics, with photonics being the science and technology of generation, manipulation, and detection of photons, quantum units of light. Photonics is related to electronics in that it is believed that photons will play a similar central role in future information technology as electrons do today. Biophotonics has therefore become the established general term for all techniques that deal with the interaction between biological items and photons. This refers to emission, detection, absorption, reflection, modification, and creation of radiation from biomolecular, cells, tissues, organisms and biomaterials. Areas of application are life science, medicine, agriculture, and environmental science. Similar to the differentiation between "electric" and "electronics" a difference can be made between applications, which use light mainly to transfer energy via light (like Therapy or surgery) and applications which excite matter via light and transfer information back to the operator (like diagnostics). In most cases the term biophotonics is only referred to the second case. Biophotonics addresses medical and human science questions in the form of light based technologies. Both microscopic and spectroscopic methods belong to this, as well as the use of lasers to explain biological processes on a cellular level.  With the main point of biophotonic research being the application of the characteristics of light to food production, pharmacy, bio-technology and medicine.

How Does Biophontics Works for the LifeXplore Violet Glass Storage Solution?

The LifeXplore Violet Glass use this field of biophontics to its advantage, by allowing the permanent stimulation and charging of the molecule structure of the stored substance. The violet glass is specifically desgined to deflect harmful visible light (red, blue, yellow, and green light), while  allowing beneficial UV-range (stimulating) and the Infrared -range (charging) light through the bottle.

With various international institutes backing up the claims that LifeXplore Violet Glass is "the best (for) conservation and optimal bio-protect(ion) available", when compared with any other storage device.  The qualities of the NHT Violet Glass are examined by several prominent institutions : by 'Interstaatlichen Ingenieurschule Neu Technikum', Buchs (St. Gallen), by 'Frauenhofer Institut for Food technoligie and packaging', München, by 'Internation Institut for Bio-Physik', Kaiserslautern (Photonenem. of Prof. Popp) by glass manufacturer 'Heinz', Kleintettau. The institutes came to the same conclusion: LifeXplore Violet Glass, manufactured by Miron Glass, is for high-sensitive particles with distance the best conservation and has a optimal bio-protection.

**Note: When you receive your LifeXplore Violet Glass containers, please follow these simple points:

  1. Rinse out the bottles and the glass tops because the last processing step is to grind the edges where the two meet.  Be careful because it is ground glass.
  2. Do not force the lid on. The lids are designed to go on easily using the weight of the lid as a natural sealer.
  3. If the lids get stuck:
    1. Put the bottle in a pot with hot water near the top of the neck.
    2. Heat the water almost to a boil and the lid will pop off from steam pressure.
