Signed Saul Fanfani Antique "Charme" Alabaster Bust with a Bronze Dress. Mounted on a Green Marble base.

Antique head and shoulder alabaster bust of a woman, the shoulders draped in a bronze garment with shoulder straps, green marble base, signed Fanfani on the shoulder for Saul Fanfani (1856-1919, Italian).

This art piece can be displayed on a mantle, in a formal setting. Or in a home full of interesting art. Use on a shelf to add life. Display in a ladies dressing area. She really is a charming piece, hence her title "Charme". 

There is a second, signature of Schumacker on the back of the lady, in the bronze. There is also a round logo that is similar/same to the logo on the bottom holder hole. (See photo.)

The alabaster has a discoloration on the hair on the back. The holder on the base has the logo stamp on the finish of the hole. The marble base underside has a second holder drill bore that looks original. There are also a few very minor chips along the base. Plus there is a natural crack on one corner. These notes are character patinas to this art piece.

Alabaster requires specialized cleaning. Please do not use water (water can damage this porous stone) but consult the internet for various cleaning alternatives. To present for sale, this has only been dusted with a brush. 

Various similar Fanfani art pieces have been sold over the last number of years with estimated values between $300 - $800. This Fanfani piece is priced for the minor flaws noted and this is sold as is.
