This big Chinese ceramic vase is beautifully hand painted in bright colors in a Bird of Paradise motif with the same design on both sides, and the rest of the space is covered with floral vines in blue, red, and green. This is a rare and hard to find vase by WBI, which stands for World Banking Institute, the organization which was formed around the 1940's as a means to create jobs and stimulate the economy of underdeveloped nations. The initials WBI started appearing on Chinese porcelain, mostly export, thereafter.
