Collecting Asian Antiques

Where does my love of Asian antiques originate? From a house full of glorious finds from all over the Asia rim. Dad was stationed around the Pacific pre WWII, during and into the Korean conflict. 

I can remember playing with pearl inlayed chopsticks. Wanting to run my hands over the white, silk kimono set. Looking intently at the goose blood vases and hand carved wood vases. The wonders of the Asian culture were not lost on me - and now I get to collect a wide variety of Asian antiques for both my personal collection and for the store. What a marvelous adventure.

Check into one of my favorites, the Japanese 19C Aote Ko Kutani Shishi Fu Dog Lion. Just looking at his face brings a wonderment of is he playing? Angry? Happy? With his tail up, I always want to throw this mythical creature a ball!
