This beautiful example of a compact dance finger ring purse with rouge well, applicator and mirror. The interior is gold tone.

A lovely enameled cabbage rose pattern against yellow. The compact is silver with an original silver finger ring on a chain.

These dance wristlet compact purses were especially popular in the 1920's when ladies would apply make-up in public. Called "dance compact" or "tango compact", this one is a wonderful example of this type of ladies accessory.

Dance compacts are priced on various elements -
Condition - Very good with some wear on the back but normal for its age.
Enameling - Very special with a dainty enamel embellishment on the front.
Closure - There is a ball and ring closure on the top that is especially nice and unusual.
Interior Elements - Has rough well and original applicator. The rough well side moves to allow tapping the powder back into the well. Also has a full mirror (size of the lid).
Size - This is a nice size at 2.5" x 2.5".
