4x Chinese Famille Porcelain Bowl Set | Republic Period Style | Antique/Vintage

This 4 piece Famille Porcelain Bowl Set is an absolute must have for any collector of classic Chinese porcelain. Add to a set with this butterfly pattern. Use on an Asian buffett with small serving items like loose salt and pepper, sprinkles or crushed herbs.  

1. Fingertip bowl with an orange butterfly on one side; a pink and green butterfly on the other. 3.5" D x 2" H
2. Saucer with a large pink and green butterfly in the center. 4" D x 1" H
3. 2x small bowls with a pink and green butterfly in the center. 2.5" D x 1" H

All 4 pieces have the same maker's mark " Made in China" stamped on the bottom (see photo). Stamped red Chinese mark on vintage porcelain that reads 中国景德镇 ‘Zhongguo Jingdezhen’ (China, Jingdezhen), MADE IN CHINA and with Jingdezhen factory number 06 at the bottom. Again, there are many variations of this mark with different factory numbers or letters. The fingertip bowl is stamped with a "6". The other 3 pieces are stamped with a "5".

These dishes are a traditional pattern from the Republic Period (1912-1949). By the marks on the bottom, these bowl date somewhere in the 1950-1980"s.

Each bowl is in good condition with wear commensurate with age, with no chips or cracks visible. The beautiful floral, butterfly designs are from the Republican period and each bowl is marked on the bottom.

*These bowls were acquired through auction from an elderly couple that collected most of their pieces during the 1970's. Their collection was from their travels and from auctions in New York. The descriptions and pricing is a reflection of their ownership.*
